Three-Layer EPE/HDPE Seal

A three-layer laminated seal consisting of a central layer of foamed low-density polyethylene (EPE) with a closed-cell structure, covered on both sides by solid high-density polyethylene (HDPE) films.

The foamed EPE core provides the flexibility and resilience required for effective sealing, while the HDPE outer layers offer greater chemical resistance than standard EPE liners despite the low overall density of the material.

The seal (liner) is typically inserted into aluminium, plastic or metal closures and becomes an integral part of the closure. When the bottle or jar is opened, the liner remains inside the closure.
